Take Your Place.
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
2 Chronicles 2:19
As the first century church unfolded in the Book of Acts, the people took their place, rushing out of the upper room, empowered by the Holy Spirit, with the mandate: ". . . And you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem (that's local), and in all Judea (that's regional) and Samaria (that's continental), and even to the remotest part of the earth (that's the nations)." Acts 1:8 I believe that same template that was presented to the first century church has also been given all through the ages—including our generation.

I feel such a strong need to urge you forward, to prop open your eyes and help you to get your heart enlightened. God called us to say, "Not my will but Your will be done, God. And I'm not going to let up until I see it come to pass."

Seek God. Seeking is active, not passive. It takes effort. But with God, the effort is never, ever futile. It's always worth it. God promises when we seek Him, we will find Him. When we ask of Him, He will reveal to us great and mighty things which we do not know. When we draw near to Him, He'll draw near to us (Luke 11:10; Jeremiah 33:3; James 4:8).

Investigate your own heart. You are called to connection and deep fellowship with God. Pray a lot. Read the Bible more than you ever have. God will reveal Himself to you through His Word and you will know what your place is in His body.

Be obedient. God promised that He will equip us to do all that He has called us to do (2 Timothy 3:17). He plans for us to succeed (Jeremiah 29:11). In fact, He desires it more than we do! He has made us a unit and it is the proper working of each individual part that makes us able to grow and excel still more (Ephesians 4:16; 1 Thessalonians 4:1,10).

I want to finish strong, to run all the way to the end. Don't you? We've got a lot of work ahead for us. We've got to retool to save the lost. It is the time. This is the place. And we are the people.

Get ready!
Pastor Jeff
