The American Heritage Dictionary defines "thanks": to express gratitude to; give thanks to; to hold responsible; credit.
Each year at Thanksgiving we review these Scriptures. Let's cultivate hearts of thankfulness toward our amazing Heavenly Father, not only during this season, but every day. He is worthy! He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies and given us all we need for life and godliness. (Ephesians 1:3; 2 Peter 1:3) Thank You, Jesus!
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. Psalm 100:4
In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 92:1
