The Power Of Pressing Through.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19 The Book of Job is about a godly man who had a few months of trouble followed by tremendous breakthrough. Living a godly life is our highest priority—at least, it ought to be. But even then, it's guaranteed we will suffer persecution and affliction.

Job knew troubles, but he responded to God's faithfulness and he endured. The Word reveals that there is something powerful about just pressing on—waiting for and waiting on the Lord, standing on specific promises, recognizing His unchanging faithfulness—especially in the hard times.

We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. James 5:11
Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. Psalm 42:5
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
This poor man cried and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The righteous cry and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:6,17
These are tried and true declarations from the living Word of God. There's virtue in standing on them. So don't give up! Look for God's faithfulness and trust Him in every situation. God is with you, His Word is true, and all of His promises in Christ Jesus are powerful.

Pressing through,
Pastor Jeff
